TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Siswa SMA/MA Kelas 12 saat ini memasuki Unit 5 dalam buku Bahasa Inggris Tingkat Lanjut Kurikulum Merdeka yang berjudul “Today's Life”, yang ditulis oleh Sunengsih dan rekan-rekan, serta diterbitkan oleh Kemdikbudristek pada tahun 2022.

Materi dalam unit ini dirancang untuk membantu siswa mengasah keterampilan menyimak (listening skill), khususnya dalam memahami struktur wacana lisan berbahasa Inggris dan menuliskannya kembali dalam bentuk yang runtut.

Pada halaman 183, siswa akan menemukan Activity A.4 yang meminta mereka bekerja dalam kelompok beranggotakan empat orang. 

Dalam aktivitas ini, siswa diminta mendengarkan kembali rekaman audio, lalu mendiskusikan struktur generic dari sebuah long talk.

Sebelum melihat kunci jawaban, sangat dianjurkan agar siswa menjawab berdasarkan pemahaman pribadi terlebih dahulu.

Getting some of the excess stuff out of the way, clearing the clutter from our lives can help us all focus on everything that remains such as health, relationships, growth, contribution, and community. Moreover, it reduces stress because we do not have to be worried about cleaning and organizing stuff. Therefore, this lifestyle can help us to have more deliberate, meaningful, happy, passionate, and purpose driven lives.

2. Issue: Arguments Against 

The pros and cons of minimalism as a lifestyle: Meanwhile, the opponents of this lifestyle believe that this lifestyle is very hard to implement . For many of us, possessions hold memories. If we give away things, some of them can never be replaced. Moreover, getting your things out does not reduce the stress if the roots of your stress are unrelated to your belongings. Also, It can create conflict and stress if our family member does not support this lifestyle. Therefore, minimalism can be so challenging and not really make for a happy life.

3. Issue: Conclusion

The pros and cons of minimalism as a lifestyle: For some, the minimalist lifestyle can be successful in pursuing happiness but for others it can not. It depends on each person’s unique situation.
