Selain imbas dari cedera, balapan perdana di kelas premier musim ini didominasi oleh Marquez dari Ducati.

Marquez telah mengantongi 37 poin di puncak klasemen.

Martin dipastikan akan absen setidaknya dua putaran. Masih jauh dari pasti apakah ia bisa kembali di Texas pada 29-31 Maret.

Kalaupun akhirnya kembali, ia harus beradaptasi dengan Aprilia tanpa menjalani pramusim yang layak gegara cedera.
